For the second edition, the authors have extended their treatment of the subject matter. A new chapter on digital signal processing has been included and more minor, but significant, additions include smart sensors, wave form generation and sampling, noise filtering, phase locked loops, and extended interfacing standards. Also included are case-study type details of a practical application of instrumentation systems associated with industrial weighing.
