With Inside Stories, Rich Murphy has as an initial impetus plumbing the physical and emotional interior of Homo sapiens. Friedrich Schiller's play drive may best describe the style: "e;It is union of the unconscious and reflection that makes the poetic artist."e; Meta-modernism may best describe its heart. He agrees with philosopher Alain Badiou, who states, "e;Poetry in some sense portrays . . . what was impossible to say in the same language."e; A peek into the anatomical language for its functions and intrigues will become evident in Murphy's poetics, as will the use of rudimentary scientific language for aspects of interiority.
