Inside Looking Out

Christopher Sky McKenzie, a young police officer, pauses in his stride as he jogged towards home. The sound was as though an animal was caught up somewhere to his right. On investigation, it wasn't an animal but the form of a young girl lying face down in a tangle of a large Briar Rose bush and a large Pyracanthos with its inch long thorns. While in the hospital, Christopher sat with the unconscious girl waiting to take a statement. When she wakes up she finds she has no memory of what happened and cannot speak. Four years later Christopher finds her in the dock, charged with the murder of her mother. The trial ends with a Not Guilty verdict the defendant Lindsay Shawcross is so overcome with relief she faints in the dock. Christopher once again comes to her rescue. But this time he doesn't leave her. From the two tenuous meetings between Lindsay Shawcross and Christopher McKenzie, a chain of events which would have far reaching consequences takes place. More than a few lives would change for the better as a result of that meeting.
