Information management and knowledge management

This work addresses Information Management (IM) and Knowledge Management (KM) through a case study of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora campus, established in the municipality of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, in the second half of 2012. Anchored in the theory of IM and KM, it presents a proposal to overcome the challenges related to IM and KM, based on suggestions from the employees of the institution under study. Throughout the work, the reader will learn about the challenges perceived by managers and employees in implementing information management and knowledge management in order to improve organizational processes and offer quality services to internal and external audiences.
