These portraits present a broad interpretation of the people of India and the cultural heritage that reveals glimpses into their daily lives. The people of India are rooted in its history, culture and religion. Over time they assimilated the many influences that came as a result of India's global interaction with other regions of the world. It is a civilization of vibrant diversity and a multitude of languages. Over one billion people call India The Motherland. It is challenging to capture some of the magic that represents the people of India. Some portraits were shot in a passing moment others were captured of long-standing relationships of neighbors and friends. Hopefully these photographs will represent a small contribution to the people who have deeply touched my heart and soul.
