In Vitro Antibacterial Effect of Ethanolic Extract of Matricaria chamomilla (chamomile) Flowers ON Staphylococcus aureus

The present research work was of experimental type, explanatory level, quantitative approach and cross-sectional. It was carried out with the aim of demonstrating the in vitro antibacterial effect of the ethanolic extract of Matricaria chamomilla (chamomile) flowers on Staphylococcus aureus. The ethanolic extract was obtained by the percolation method, from flowers of M.chamomilla, concentrations of 50% and 75% of the extract were used. It is concluded that the ethanolic extract of Matricaria chamomilla flowers has antibacterial effect in vitro on Staphylococcus aureus.
