A newspaper article about an unsolved murder sends villager Felix Fieldingham and his partner Robbie McAllister to London for the summer. While Robbie hangs out with artist friends, Felix, against Detective Sergeant Frank Epps' advice, pursues the mystery all the way to a rough trade gay bar on the edge of Whitechapel. He is drawn into another world by charismatic bartender Sammy Eyo and bar owner Terry Wynter, a man as seductive as he is threatening.
