Seven years after World War I. A lonely young man lives in an old hotel on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Every day he sees a recurring dream in his dream and tries to search for an explanation for it. In his attempt to search, a murder occurs in the hotel, and from here begins the interpretation of the dream that tells him about his past, where he came from, and why he lives.
