If This Be Love

This is a peculiar love story between Sarabjcet, a rich businessman and Raminder, the wife of Udai, a cavalry officer who happens to be Sarabjccts closest friend. On 31st December 1984. a terrible tragedy struck. Playing a polo match. the horses of Sarabjeet and Udai. the opposing players, clashed violently. Within minutes of reaching the hospital, Udai was dead of his broken neck. Sarabjeets crushed back resulted in life-long paralysis of his legs. Sarabjcet, a widower, had to look after his twin daughters as well as help Reminder and her daughter, Simran. Suitors besiege Raminder retaining her youthful looks, but she has only her heart set for Sarabjeet. Sarabjeet is hesitant because of his physical disability. He was not even sure of his manliness. Unfortunately, Kranti. younger by nine minutes dies of cancer of the uterus. In due course, Shanti married the elder brother of her husband whom she had left for his lecherous ways. Sarabjeet and Raminder now live happily in Devi House, the mansion he had built so lovingly.
