I Am Third

Kinita writes from a perspective rooted in a cross-cultural narrative that spans three countries, multiple culture groups, and over five decades of experience. Using the lens of her interracial marriage, Kinita vulnerably shares lessons learned, failures overcome, dreams realized, and childhood pain redeemed as she and her husband raised their four children in the American context. Their three biological sons and adopted daughter all endorsed this project in the hope that others would be empowered, equipped, and encouraged in their own parenting and adoption narratives.
