I am Sparrow

A little girl auburn-haired girl named Sparrow hides some very big secrets. Taught to keep quiet about the abuse she is experiencing, she carries the weight of the trauma - something no little girl should have to do. Sparrow still keeps her secrets as she grows up, becoming convinced that this is what her life is going to look like. A life with violence and mistreatment becomes her accepted norm. She chooses to stay with her abuser versus leave and have a life without the beatings and abuse...because abuse is, sadly, what she knows. One day, however, a friend plants in Sparrow''s heart a seed of hope for a better life, and Sparrow learns to fly toward it with open wings!
