Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Since the publication of the Second Edition of my book nothing has been written, as far as I know, which throws any fresh light on the phenomena of hypnosis and suggestion. On the other hand, much progress has been made with the practical side of the subject.
