Hurricane River (A Novel)

Hurricane River is a fast-paced thriller that pits the endurance and wits of a fifteen-year-old boy against three professional criminals in the wilderness of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Having witnessed the murder of his parents in the family cabin at their hands, he is able to escape and evade capture as they pursue him thorough the forests, logging roads, and shoreline of Lake Superior. Unknown to him, a mysterious and eccentric hermit aids him throughout the chase, a broken man who finds his own release from unbearable guilt over the death of his family.In grappling with the reality of evil , the suffering of Job, and the nature of God, the story is both disturbing and redemptive. Even as we can never fully understand suffering and injustice, we are led to believe that the universal design will ultimately lead to a perfected creation.
