How To Love isn't a typical love story about a boy and girl. Instead it is a beautiful fictional story about two sisters, Jade Carter and Nicole Taylor who battle with self-image, self-esteem, social acceptance and colorism. These biological sisters struggle with their idea of beauty and success. The discussion of "light skin vs dark skin" has been a prevalent part of their upbringing.
