If you are interested in love affairs, then this love affair with the Algarve started in 1984, and lasted for twenty seven years. You don't get that length of time in jail for murder! Not always a complete love affair, as some of the frustrations, stupidities and nonsenses which occur in Portugal, could lead most relationships to the point of divorce or even suicide.
