How Our Laws are Made

The Federal legistlative process, which has developed as a result of constitutional mandate, is extremely complex. Therefore, it is necessary for the American people to have access to documents and materials which will enable them to achieve a greater understanding and appreciation of this process.This edition updates a pamphlet originally published in 1953, and reflects changes in the legislative procedure brought about by legisation and changes in the rules of the House of Representatives since then.
