High Performance Networking VII

This text deals with issues relating to the fast-paced evolution of public, corporate and residential networks. It focuses on the practical and experimental aspects of high performance networks and introduces novel approaches and concepts aimed at improving the performance, usability, inoperability and scalability of such systems. Among others, the topics covered include: the evolution of LAN and WAN systems (e.g. future of Internet and WWW); high bandwidth applications; new communications media; high performance protocols; ATM; quality of service requirements; broadband service platforms; and middleware and very large scale networking.
