The third book in a science-fiction trilogy. The human race is being evaluated and trained to become the mentors to other species in the galaxy. This galaxy is one of five in which similar process are going on and representatives of all five meet occasionallt through a teleconferencing system to review progress. But one galaxy is causing problems for the rest and the problem nust be solved.
