Handicap and Loving it

This is a person who has enjoyed a full circle run of life. A sort of rags to riches to rags saga, if you will. A person whose travel has taken him from the ruins of poverty to a social and economical up-climb. But like all routes traveled, there sometimes comes the occasional bump in the road.

After battling several bouts with financial deficits, loss of love ones, and a few failed marriages; he drifted toward a path of self destruction alienating everyone close and dear to him. These travels included depression, alcoholism, drug abuse, and a few run-ins with the law.

Fortunately, nothing lasts forever and he was once again able to find a safe and smooth path to follow. He returned to respectability in the professional field, was enjoying a lengthy new marriage, and working his way out of debt.

This last obstacle not only left him a beaten and battered man but it left him homeless, alone, and at death's door. An experience which by all rights he probably should not have been able to survive. But survive he did and this is a continuation of his journey on the highway of life.
