This book was first published in 1994 (under a different title). Unfortunately, its relevance has not diminished, and it is now being released in a revised edition to ensure it remains accessible to a wider readership. The experiences with abuse of all kinds described in this book arebased on real life experiences. To the extent necessary to protect personal rights, true stories have been retold, but without compromising their authenticity. The names of all people, places, and institutions have been changed so that the actual individuals involved cannot be identified.
