9th April is a bad day for Thorvald: his marriage collapses and the Germans come marching up Oslo’s main street, Karl Johan.

Thorvald decides to become a resistance fighter. He finds a cabin in the wood, puts an advert in the paper and sets up the Thorvald Group – a group which has, for various reasons, been overlooked by posterity. One reason may be that they spend more time fixing up the cabin than carrying out sabotage actions.
