Gunner

The shooter. The spotter. The gunner. The point man. A four-man Marine scout sniper unit, living and working together like brothers. They know how to get the job done, but when it comes to their personal lives, it all falls to pieces.

Ashton Rucker has nothing left to give. He spent his childhood on a mother he couldn't help, his bitterness and resentment building to the point of hatred. He doesn't trust women, any women, and certainly not the American woman who approaches his team on assignment in a country where she's not supposed to be.

Shelby Lance wanted to change the world; instead it was her world that was changed, and not for the better. Kidnapped and assaulted by a group of thugs in a country where she doesn't speak the language, she thinks it's a miracle she's found marines to rescue her.

Picking their way through the desert together, Ashton and Shelby must learn to trust each other if they want to survive the elements and the men who are chasing them. But the greatest difficulty of all may be overcoming the barriers they've placed to protect their hearts.
