Grits and Gravy

"Grits and Gravy" is a romp through the turbulent sixties revisiting the same beloved characters readers treasured in "Sweet Tea and Sticky Buns." The occupants of the little Parrish of Knob Noster, Louisiana once more must brace themselves to battle against William Scott III who comes back to town determined to destroy their village. There are Con men involved in real estate fraud, trouble with the newly passed Civil Rights Act, controversy over the Viet Nam war, rock throwing, murder, infidelity, hypocrisy, and redemption. Many of the social issues of the sixties are discussed leaving the reader to decide for themselves which side they're on. Written with tongue in cheek humor "Grits and Gravy" surely is a delightful book to read at the beach or curled up in a comfy chair on a rainy day.
