Graveyard Song

After experiencing some unknown creature attacking her classmates and being blamed for it, Brine has grown up differently than the other mermaids. No swimming to the surface, no songs, no piece of her life unsupervised. She even believes the ones that tell her that she did it, because she has no real other explanation. But an encounter with another mermaid that heard the song and saw the shadow leads her down a whirlpool of fear and terror, where other merfolk that seem to want to help her are hiding dark secrets, shadows really are deadly, and stories have strange notes to them. In an attempt to flee for her life, Brine discovers a unique secret to the sea floor...one that might just help shine the light for her, and the others trapped by the ancient song of fear.
