Upon returning from her unexpected trip to Colorado, Addie Girard finds her younger son, Will, has moved home to pursue his bliss as a guitarist and singer. His first professional 'gig' has his new band, Amigos Ultimos, tripping over a 'dead guy by the pool'. Addie is caught in a whirlwind new, but unwanted, writing career for the Evritt County Gazette. With help from her two best buds, Lottie Frisham and Lacy Tindal, can Addie cover the news, deal with swindlers and a murder, placate the ruggedly good-looking Sheriff s deputy, and keep Will out of trouble?
