The type of terrorism we are constantly witnessing today causes inner wounds and social damage that go beyond physical violence. Indeed, grief and trauma persist long after the physical destruction has ended, and people often find themselves unable to explain or talk about it. This collection stems from the desire to give voice to these voices, while celebrating, through the art of poetry, everyday acts of courage and the innate ability of the human spirit to rebuild. Gold In The Ashes symbolizes the strength found in the aftermath of terror, resilience, as the choice to rise despite pain, not in the absence of it, and the importance of Peace as the presence of understanding and the practice of compassion.
