Geoffrey Gordon, a young widower under dubiouscircumstances lives in London. A father to twochildren he takes a marriage of convenience so that hecan leave his children and join up to fi ght in the SecondWorld War. He fi ghts through Dunkirk, N. Africa and Italy where hisexperiences will at times make you laugh uproariously,and at others bring you close to tears.
