Generations leading the way in care

Demographic developments are leading to an increase in the number of elderly people. This is associated with an increased risk of multiple and chronic illnesses, which in turn require greater care. This quantitative increase in the number of people requiring care is leading to a growing demand for professional carers. The labour market will be able to provide fewer and fewer young professionals, and at the same time, the nursing workforce is ageing. This book aims to identify possible ways of supporting older employees physically and mentally so that their productivity and performance can be maintained for as long as possible. The focus is on nursing staff aged 50 and over.
