Gender and Sociality in Amazonia

This work explores little-known aspects of the day-to-day lives of Amazonian peoples in Brazil and Peru. Focusing on the lives of the Cashinahua people, it shows that gender is the central axis and driving force of the Amazonian social life, influencing the whole of community life.
