Game of Thrones. From Novel to TV

Bachelor Thesis from the year 2013 in the subject American Studies - Miscellaneous, grade: 1,3, Dresden Technical University (Anglistik / Amerikanistik), course: Kulturwissenschaften - Nordamerika, language: English, abstract: This thesis takes a closer look at the adaption process from the novel A Game of thrones to the popular TV series, with the focus on a a structural comparison and the alterations from the novel to the series. A shift in the depiction of characters, fidelity aspects and political statements of the installments are also considered. Last but not least, this thesis takes a closer look at the level of illicitness in the series, and if there is an equivalent in the novel.
