Kirjassa esitetään kirjasarjan harjoitustehtävät: 442 ratkaistua harjoitustehtävää ja 274 ratkaisematonta harjoitustehtävää, joihin annetaan vastaus. Harjoitustehtävissä on myös teoriakysymyksiä. Opiskelussa tarvitaan teoriaosa ja sen harjoitustehtävien ratkaisuosa. Jos opiskelet teoriaosaa I A tai I B, tarvitset ratkaisujen A-osan. Muiden teoriaosien kanssa tarvitset ratkaisujen B-osan. Ratkaisemattomat harjoitustehtävät vastauksella esitetään kirjan kunkin osan I, II, III lopussa. Tähtitieteestä on 62 pikkukysymystä, joiden vastaus annetaan Ratkaisut B:ssä. Kadeteille lasketetaan alan sovellutustehtäviä, joita ei voi esittää tässä kirjassa.

INTRODUCTION TO THE BOOK IN ENGLISH

The book presents the exercises for the book series: 442 solved exercises and 274 unsolved exercises, for which only the answer is given. There are also theory questions in the exercises. When studying, you will need the Theory part and the Exercises. If you study the Theory I A or I B, you need part A of the Solutions. With the other parts, you need part B of the Solutions. Unsolved exercises with answers are presented at the end of parts I, II, III of the book. There are 62 short questions about astronomy, the answers to which are given in Solutions B. Cadets must calculate application exercises in the field, which cannot be presented in this book.

KIRJASARJAN ESITTELY SUOMEKSI

Fysiikan perustiedot sopivat lukiolaiselle, joka aikoo opiskella insinööriksi tai diplomi-insinööriksi tai opiskella yliopistossa fysiikkaa tai lääketiedettä tai puolustusvoimissa. Myös opiskelijalle, joka aloittaa opiskelun mainituissa koulutuspaikoissa. Kirjan vasemmalla puolelle on teksti suomeksi ja oikealla puolella sama teksti englanniksi. Samalla suomenkielinen oppii englantia ja englanninkielinen suomea: fysiikan keskeistä sanastoa. Suomenkielisen tekstin ovat lukeneet fysiikan lehtori ja yliopettaja. Englanninkielisen tekstin on tarkastanut kielentarkastaja. Kirjasarjassa on 10 kirjaa, yhteensä yli 2200 sivua.

Aihealueet ovat osin tuttuja lukiofysiikasta. Vaatimustaso alkaa lukiofysiikan tasolta ja laajennetaan insinööritasolle. Insinööriopiskelijoillakin on eri linjoilla eri opetussuunnitelma. Merkintä * on lukiotasoinen, mutta ei opeteta lukiofysiikassa. Koska opetussuunnitelmaa muutetaan, tähtimerkintä ei välttämättä ole nykyisen opetussuunnitelman mukaisesti. Merkintä ** on insinööritasoinen: teorian esittämisessä tarvitaan differentiaali- ja integraalilaskentaa ja differentiaaliyhtälöitä. Kaikkea esitettyä ei opeteta insinööriopinnoissa. Harjoitustehtävissä *-tehtävä on vaativampi ja **-tehtävän ratkaisemiseen tarvitaan integraalilaskentaa.

Yliopistotasolla peruskurssien jälkeen on erikoiskursseja fysiikan eri alueista. Niillä mennään syvemmälle fysiikkaan kuin tässä kirjasarjassa. Peruskurssien opiskelussa kirjasarjasta on hyötyä. Annan kirjasarjalle nimeksi FYSIIKAN PERUSTIEDOT, koska opettajaurani aikana olen opettanut kaiken muun tästä kirjasarjasta, paitsi suppeammin hiukkasfysiikkaa. Fysiikan näkökulmasta siitä puuttuu asioita, mutta niitä ei opetettu oppilaitoksissa, joissa opettajaurani aikana opetin. Toisaalta siinä esitetään fysiikan teoriaa, jota ei nykyisin enää opeteta näissä oppilaitoksissa.

Nämä ovat tietokirjoja, eivät minkään oppilaitoksen oppikirjoja. Kirjoista voi opiskella lukion ja ammattikorkeakoulun fysiikan kurssit (eri linjoilla) sekä Puolustusvoimissa opiskeltavat kadettien fysiikan kurssit. Kirjasarjasta on hyötyä myös työelämässä.

Käyttöohje
1. Opetellaan tai kerrataan aihealue teoriasta.
2. Yritetään ratkaista aihealueen harjoitustehtäviä.
3. Verrataan ratkaisua annettuun ratkaisuun ja katsotaan mallia ratkaistusta tehtävästä.
4. Kun mielestään jo osaa, voi yrittää ratkaista tehtäviä, joihin annetaan vain vastaus.

Opiskeluun tarvitaan kolme osaa: teoriaosa, harjoitusesimerkit ja ratkaisut. Koska nämä ovat eri kirjoina, niitä on kätevä käyttää: kätevämpää kuin selata ”läppärin” pienellä kuvaruudulla. Suosittelen laskujen laskemista kynällä vihkoon.

INTRODUCTION TO THE BOOK SERIES IN ENGLISH

Basic knowledge of physics is suitable for a high school student who plans to study engineering or for a Master's degree in engineering or to study physics or medicine at university or in the Defence Forces, and for any students who are starting studies at the mentioned educational locations. On the left-hand side of book is the text in Finnish and on the right-hand side is the text in English. At the same time, Finnish-speakers learns English and English-speakers learns Finnish to cover: the central vocabulary of physics. The Finnish text has been read by a physics lecturer and principal lecturer. A linguist reviewer has revised the English part. The book series has 10 books, and each language to give a total of more than 2200 pages.

The subject areas are partly familiar from high school physics. The requirement level starts at the high school physics level and is extended to the engineering physics level. Engineering students also have different study plans along different lines. The marking * refers to content at high school level, but not taught in high school physics. Since the curriculum is being changed, the star marking may not be in accordance with the current curriculum. The marking ** indicates an engineering level: differential and integral calculus and differential equations are needed to present the theory. Not everything presented is taught in engineering studies. In the practice exercises * marks an exercise that is more demanding, and ** marks exercises, where integral calculation is required.

After the basic courses, the university has special courses in different areas of physics. They go deeper into physics than this book series. The book series is useful for studying basic courses. I named the book series Basic Knowledge of Physics, because during my teacher career I have taught everything else from this book series, except more narrowly particle physics. From a physics point of view, it misses some aspects, but they were not taught in the educational institutions where I taught during my teaching career. On the other hand, it presents the theory of physics, which nowadays is no longer taught in these educational institutions.

These are information books, not textbook for any particular educational institution. The books can be used to studying high school and university of applied science physics courses (along different lines) as well as cadet physics courses studied in the Defence Forces. The book series is also useful in working life.

4. When you think you already know, you can try to solve exercise for with only the answer is given.

Three parts are needed for studying: Theory, Exercises and Solutions. Since these are different books, it is more convenient to use them than browsing on the small screen of a “laptop”. I recommend calculating the tasks using a pen and notebook.
