Fuchsia Starr: The Quest for Averil

It is thousands of years into the future. The Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies have merged; Earth is uninhabitable. The remainder of the human population (Total Humans) has migrated to other habitable planets throughout the galaxy, while hybridized humans (Prototypes 1 and 2) vastly multiply. Fuchsia Starr, a human resident of Luyten b, is determined to find her missing sister and will go to great lengths to locate her—even if it means overstepping her ex-husband and bounty hunter, Laramie Benson. After traversing the unfamiliar terrain of Ross 128 b and encountering dangerous cyborgs, their paths cross again during intermittent time travel.
