In her 89 years, Frankie Mae Candies walked through many challenges. She fought the good fight of faith until her final breath. Remembered with great wisdom and compassion, she is cherished as a pastor, evangelist, mother, wife, sister, aunt, and above all, a devoted child of the Most High King.

Unashamed of her belief in Jesus Christ, Mom Candies shared her faith with grace and diplomacy, never making others uncomfortable. Her loving questions were designed to awaken confidence in what one believed. "Are you sure?"-three simple words that caused many to pause, reflect, and listen more deeply. Her unshakable faith drew people to her, and her life inspired countless others to believe that they, too, could overcome life's challenges.

A mother of five, Frankie Mae Candies, stood the test of time. After losing her three eldest children to illness, and later her husband of 43 years, she remained steadfast and confident in the power of Christ until her transition on May 30, 2015.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.
For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion;
in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me;
