Frightlands...Again

Enough time had passed that Race, Spec, and Vid had almost stopped having the nightmares. Those nightmares about zombies, skeletons, and even witches. Those were not the nightmares of fairytales or scary movies. Those were the nightmares of things that were all too real. Things that had taken turns in trying to devour the kids in oh, so many horrid ways. Could anything possibly force them back into that ghastly land? Oh, yes...the nightmares had lessened; which is why what happened next came as a bit of a surprise. It was not the kind of surprise that they needed, wanted, nor ever hoped to encounter again. But it happened anyway.
