This oversized facsimile edition of Frank Leslie's nineteenth century Civil War history is richly illustrated with 740 period engravings. These images were created by a corps of war artists employed by Frank Leslie for his illustrated newspapers. Years later these prints from 1861 to 1865 were recovered and assembled in this volume.
