Four West

Stuart Edwards musters out of the Union army at the end of the Civil War with a little money and a lot of wander lust. With nothing tying him to the north where he was raised, and a hankering to live where it's warm, he starts riding west.Along the way he befriends a former slave in addition to a 15-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl, both of whom are orphans. The four travel together and weather attacks, thieves and inhospitable country. Together they see a nation and a people still reeling after years of a lost war. Does this little band have what it takes to find a home and start and a new family in the frontier west?
