Foundations of Engaged Scholarship offers students a carefully curated selection of readings that help them prepare for and make the most of their academic career. Readers learn the importance of asking the right questions, developing commitment and compassion, and making a difference in the lives of others to achieve an effective and rewarding educational experience.

Over the course of 11 chapters, students are provided engaging readings that examine the philosophy of education, finding community and a sense of belonging in school, the importance of critical thinking, and community engagement.
