Carefree Xander lives his life with both openness and optimism, a combination of traits that often worries his far more reserved partner, Holdyn. Even the simple, unassuming carbonated beverage given to him by a mysterious vendor seems to set off an alarm, as if his intuition were trying to alert him to the rapid and uncontrollable changes that had now been set in motion. As sudden, sporadic burps begin to erupt out of Xander to no end, both quickly realize that this was no ordinary soda he had drunk. With each belch growing louder and longer, so do the tears and rips in Xander's ballooning pants.
