Nonlinear analysis deals with solving nonlinear problems in many branches of mathematics, physics and in industry. Fixed-point theory is an important branch of nonlinear analysis. It is used to investigate the conditions under which single-valued or multivalued mappings have solutions. This theory is not only used on a daily basis in pure and applied mathematics but it also serves as a bridge between Analysis and Topology and provides a very fruitful area of interaction between the two.
