Five Essays

Originally published in 1922 as part of the Cambridge Plain Texts series, this volume contains five of John Florio's renowned English translations of Montaigne's essays. The text was largely derived from the third edition of Florio's 1603 translation, which was published in 1632. A short editorial introduction is also included.
