Family Poems

Larry Beresford, whose previous collection of poems, Under a Gibbous Moon: The Adventures of Mister Funky, was issued by Broken Shadow Publications, hones in on the subject of family from multiple perspectives in the eleven poems in this book. They explore family of origin, family of choice, family married into, mixed and blended families, multi-cultural families, family across generations, even cross-species encounters with gray whale families of Baja California. A particular inspiration comes from the wonders and terrors of becoming a grandfather, a heart-stopping revelation for the poet, who did not have children of his own.
