Experimental Learning in Production Management

Exploring the use of simulation games as a means for experimental learning in production management, this text should be suitable for both teaching purposes at universities and engineering schools and for implementing changes in industry. The use and effects of such games are discussed, covering a variety of subject and application areas, including the role of the facilitator, debriefing and transfer to the players' own day-to-day life. In addition, prospects and future trends of simulation games are outlined, including simulating in virtual reality and cyberspace. This book should be of interest to students and lecturers of technology and engineering, especially industrial engineering and production, manufacturing, process engineering, quality and systems departments in industry.
