Some Version of This is Funny is a collection of jokes, aphorisms, and anecdotes about life and the writing life from playwright and author Stephen Evans. The author practices what he teaches in his book on the philosophy of comedy entitled Funny Thing Is: A Guide to Understanding Comedy.

The book is divided into two sections: Assorted Jokes, and Jokes of a Sort

Evans' comedic style extends from the absurd to the oblique. But as with most of his books, the intent is always to entertain and occasionally to enlighten.
