Environmental Characterisation of Mineral Exploration in Tracuateua - Pá

The work Environmental characterisation of mineral exploitation in the municipality of Tracuateua - P aims to present a detailed analysis of how mineral exploitation of granite and sand is carried out by Mineradora Santa M nica, in Tracuateua-P . The methodology used was field research, technical visits, questionnaires and interviews. This provided support for an in-depth study of the production chain. As a result, it can be said that environmental policy issues in Tracuateua are not very effective, given that the Municipal Secretariat was created recently and does not have a qualified technical team to work with potentially polluting enterprises. Due to the lack of specific legislation, ventures that exploit mineral resources have little or no legal framework to guarantee the balance and recovery of degraded areas. Among the most significant environmental problems are those related to soil compaction and erosion and air pollution due to dust emissions.
