Environment in Poland

This book provides a concise summary of the state of Polish environment, a background to the current issues (political, economic and social) and the way forward. As a part of the ongoing national and international debate it proposes a strategy for the restructuring of Polish industry, energy sector, transport system, agriculture and restoration of the natural environment. The author presents the view that the only path for the Polish economy to take in the future is sustainable development. The book describes the current major environmental pollution issues in Poland and proposes strategies for its renewal as a sustainable development of the whole economy.
