Endangered in the Ozarks: Inspired by Actual Events

When the local Arkansas biologist, Jim, discovers a human skeleton in a forbidden cave, the next presidential hopeful's dream is suddenly put in jeopardy. Detective Lori Garringer, the first Native American detective for the Arkansas State Police, unwittingly manages to put Jim and others in danger as she uncovers years of a heretofore undetected Little Rock, Arkansas, conspiracy--a conspiracy that begins with a hidden family secret.
Progressing with her investigation under the radar, Detective Garringer finds that the conspiracy originated a decade earlier by a puppet master, a commodity mogul, who has cleverly utilized commodity trades to fund and promote a candidate who is determined to protect the tradition at all costs. As Detective Garringer unearths the murder mystery layer-by-layer, she also discovers the sweetness of a new romance and--most importantly--she discovers herself.
