Praise for the Second Edition: The End of the Beginning is the perfect title for Thomas M. Colicino's wonderful book. Early English poetry is usually focused on meter, rhyme and stanza length. Thomas has written many poems like this, some of which are in this book, but he then takes us into the future. 'Surprising Myself' and 'The Repugnant Cursor' are more experimental, in my opinion. The [poetry section] ends with the poem 'Don't Be Too Obedient', and Thomas isn't, in the best possible way!Ron Kolm, author of The Bookstore Book: A Memoir
