The Encyclopeadia covers all major areas like Hindu mysticism, mysticism in Jainism and Buddhism, Hindu mystics, mysticsm in Upanishads and other workas including Bhagwad Gita, Vedas and Puranas, mystic cults, Sufi and mystic saints in Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam, Philosophy of mysticism in Tantra and Yoga. This book had a very modest chapter. The problem of the ethical transformation of a previously amoral eschatology into a more complex karmic doctrine was one of the intellectual concerns in terms of the origin of the karma theory.
