She is overflowed with recognition for being one of the best psychiatrists in the Palm Beach, Florida, area. She is a true hero. All that changes when she tragically loses her son Michael, when he drowns in a lake at a friend's birthday party. Having her life so quickly turned upside down in light of this event, she caves in to stress-so she thinks. After realizing that what she has been experiencing is something far more complex than stress, she gets help. She finds out that she is battling with a mental illness called Schizoaffective disorder.
