Education among the Arabs

Arabs are motivated to advance and keep pace with modernity and development, so they should double their interest in educational affairs, especially public education. One of the most important necessities today for Arabs is to raise and educate their public, and not be satisfied with opening schools only. Education must extend to every member of the nation, male and female, and be like yeast that ferments every atom of flour. It is also necessary for us to make our education like a pyramid founded on a wide base and a solid foundation, by educating all the public and building... Secondary, technical and higher schools on a fixed basis of primary education. Education today in the Arab countries is marred by the fact that students seek it only to earn a living, and teachers disgrace education for the sake of making a living. We advise everyone who wants to belong to science and education to draw from the pure resource that Al-Ghazali and other great Arab educators who sought knowledge and taught it took advantage of.
